This cute red squirrel design is roughly life sized. Sat on a log plinth making the total sculpture height approximately 50cm.
I've enhanced the naturalistic colours of the Red Squirrel with carefully chosen professional grade exterior wood stains. Use of a blow torch highlights the black of the eyes and brings out the unique fur like texture that I create with careful use of a specialist chainsaw. The pyrography shows through the wood stain and gives depth to the overall colour of the sculpture.
